Knee Injury - Chondromalacia Patella (Runner's Knee - an irritation underneath the knee cap)

Thank you so much for healing my knees.  I had my doubts about laser therapy but I know that without laser therapy I would not be where I am today.

I will continue to recommend LightSpeed Physiotherapy to friends and family.  They deserve to share in my experience of advanced rehabilitation techniques and the knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Knee Injury - Recovering from Torn Cartilage, Arthritis & Arthroscopic Surgery

I injured my knee by falling on my knee on three separate occasions.  I saw an orthopedic surgeon and had arthroscopic surgery on my knee.  I also had cortisol injections in my knee.

Yet after all of the treatment I had, I still had a painful knee.

My sister recommended that I go to LightSpeed Physiotherapy.  My sister had tried low intensity laser therapy and had great results.

Your staff is very professional, friendly and informative.  The laser therapy helped my tremendously.  It took a little longer than I originally thought to get better.  However, Iím sure the combination of a torn cartilage and arthritis extended my recovery time.

You were always on time for my appointments and never kept me waiting.  I would highly recommend your physiotherapy clinic to anyone.

Osgood-Schlatter disease

My 13 year old son had been suffering from knee pain for four months.  He was in so much pain, that he didn't want to go outside with his friends or play baseball.  He looked like a little old man when he came down the stairs.  He could hardly walk.  It was heart breaking to see.

When I brought my daughter in for a sprained ankle, I asked Lucy if she could help my son.  After describing my son's problem, Lucy explained that he likely had Osgood-Schlatter's disease.

I had never even heard of Osgood-Schlatter's disease and didn't know that boys were more likely to get it than girls.  Lucy suggested I bring my son in so she could see him.

I brought my son in on a Monday.  He had four laser treatments over the course of a week and he was completely pain free.  Even after his second treatment, he felt a lot better.  By the end of the week, my son was back to his old self!  He was out playing baseball and riding his bike with his friends. He even ran up and down the stairs like he used to.

Thank you Lucy and staff for taking such great care of my son and my daughter's sprained ankle.  I had no idea what I was going to do with two kids that could barely walk.  It was great that you got both kids better so fast.  Now all I have to do is try and keep up with them!

Runner's Knee (Chondromalacia Patella)

After running a marathon this fall I was suffering from knee and kneecap pain.  I saw my doctor and he told me I had chondromalacia patella or runner's knee.  My doctor told me that I needed to stop running for a while and to ice my knee from time to time.

After talking to a friend at the Running Room, he told me to get some laser therapy at LightSpeed Physiotherapy.  My friend had the same problem and had laser therapy.  He said it worked really well and he was back running in a couple of weeks.

It took five treatments before my knee started to feel better. I had ten treatments over three weeks and I felt great.  I started to run again with no knee problems.

I'm now training for anther marathon.  Every time I start to feel some discomfort I have one or two treatments.  I don't want to stop running.  Lucy and her team keep me going!
